Project Trendz is an interactive sustainable fashion showcase where creativity meets sustainability. Designers of all ages can register individually or as a team to transform secondhand and recycled materials into a one-of-a-kind wearable look.
This year, Project Trendz is collaborating with the 2026 Party at the Pier: Midnight Metamorphosis, presented by Peoples, bringing the excitement of Riverlife’s signature event into the competition. Participants will be asked to design to an “After Hours” theme, creating imaginative looks that capture the energy, style, and spirit of the Party.
Participants will have 45 minutes to design and create their garment using the provided materials, with the option to bring additional supplies to personalize their design. All looks must be created on-site during the event.
Once time is up, each designer or team will present their creation in a runway-style fashion show and share the inspiration behind their design, the materials they used, and how they brought their vision to life. Project Trendz celebrates innovation, creativity, and the power of giving materials a second chance through sustainable fashion.

The top three winning designers or teams will each receive General Admission tickets to 2026 Party at the Pier: Midnight Metamorphosis, presented by Peoples, taking place on August 28.
